| Resumo: | English language is a compulsory subject at school. Although, it’s relevancy is due to emigration and to history. S. Vicente Island was during several years in the past, a obligatory loading and unloading place for ships sail towards the USA and African countries carrying coal from England. Because of that, many cultural aspects of English people, stayed there. |
